hi we're Aleshia & Jordan, friends of 17 years and co-founders of maimoa.
from living through the early 2000’s and the unfortunate hairstyles that came with it, to making conscious shifts in our careers to work on projects that were better for people and the earth, we’ve shared and experienced it all over the years, and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter together as co-founders of maimoa.

our story
maimoa started as a seed of an idea when Aleshia and husband Scotty couldn’t source a sustainably made dog collar for their dog Cooper.
so, while lying on a Taranaki beach some time ago now, Aleshia pitched the idea of making our own alternative to the plastic-rife options available, the wheels started turning and from here maimoa began.
we imagined a world where natural, regenerative solutions were the norm not the exception, where oil-based plastic was no longer used as a default material across industries, where natural is championed over synthetics, and where products were designed with our future in mind, not just the bottom line.
